Mixed Feelings on Dune: Part Two.

Dune is a landmark science fiction novel first published in 1965 and the first in a 6-book saga penned by author Frank Herbert. Widely considered one of the greatest works within the sci-fi genre, Dune has been the subject of various film and TV adaptations, including the Academy Award winning 2021 film Dune directed by Denis Villeneuve. Dune: Part Two opened on March 1, 2024.

I&#39;ve been watching the 007 films for the first time. What are the best documentaries or biographies or BTS material I can watch when I&#39;m done? Thanks.

&#39;Redemption&#39; is a masterpiece that got me emotional. I didn&#39;t particularly enjoy &#39;Tales of the Jedi&#39; very much, but this blew me away reading it today.

Watched &#39;GoldenEye&#39; yesterday. Wow. I knew how popular it was, and I was still surprised how good it was. Pierce Brosnan smashes it out of the park in the first five minutes, and the new Moneypenny and M are perfect. Loved to see the original Q back, though, their scene was funny and sweet.

What a masterpiece, so far ahead of its time. I watched this today for the first time (working my way through the franchise) and it is already a new favourite, a stunning piece of work.

I finally finished The Fallen Star.

Just watched &#39;Moonraker&#39; for the first time and... I think I have my first possible hot take as a Bond fan. But alongside &#39;Goldfinger&#39; this is my new favourite Bond film!

Any canon recommendations? Just finished SOTS. Note: I&#39;m a bit basic and need a bit of lightsaber action in my Star Wars novels and I don&#39;t care for space battles and actively hate reading them sometimes.

A New Fan&#39;s Perspective (Gen Z)

I&#39;ve fallen in love with the Lovecraftian-horror route that Fate of the Jedi took. Abeloth is much more complex than the fandom would usually have you think, and the last book was absolute chaos (in a good way). Shame we couldn&#39;t get any more of what they were cooking up.
